Nasir Khan MBE is an ADR specialist with more than twenty years' experience in arbitration, mediation and advisory services across construction, infrastructure, transport, energy and complex commercial sectors. His work is grounded in a multidisciplinary background spanning engineering, quantity surveying, procurement, risk management, construction law and dispute resolution.
He acts as an arbitrator and as a mediator in domestic and international cases. He is recognised for managing technically complex disputes involving expert evidence, quantum, delay and matters arising in regulated or public-sector environments. His approach is disciplined, impartial and proportionate, with a strong emphasis on procedural clarity and sustainable outcomes.
Nasir is also an educator and thought leader. He teaches arbitration and mediation for the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and contributes to the RICS Diploma in Arbitration, focusing on tribunal conduct, decision-making and award writing. He is a regular speaker and published author on ADR, expert evidence, dispute causation and professional standards.
He was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to equality, diversity and inclusion, values that underpin his commitment to inclusive dispute resolution. He is available for appointments internationally.
Career
Nasir is Director of KHAN ADRS Ltd and an independent mediator and arbitrator. His earlier career includes senior commercial and advisory leadership roles at Rimkus (Managing Director, EMEA, Advisory, Disputes & Quantum), HKA Global, Currie & Brown (Director, Head of Europe, Contract Solutions), Network Rail (Head of Commercial) and Laing O'Rourke (Procurement Manager), alongside earlier engineering roles. That end-to-end experience, from site engineering to board-level advisory, is what allows him to read a complex dispute from every stakeholder's perspective.
Recognition
Nasir is recognised in Lexology (formerly Who's Who Legal) as a Recommended Expert in the Transport practice area, described by clients and peers as a seasoned transport expert known for his ability to view a complex project from all stakeholders' perspectives. He co-founded Muslims in Rail, a community interest company, and sits on charitable advisory boards.
